SHED is a global force and a partner within an international movement dedicated to enriching the lives of young men and women. We will be known for our entrenching commitment to education and development of future leaders.
In 2005, Liberians were preparing for their general presidential election. A lot of young adults were voting and electing their leaders based on food and material things, neither on merits, educational credentials nor work experiences. At that point, it became very clear that the war did not only destroy the country's infrastructures but also the minds of so many young men and women of Liberia. Their abilities to become intellectual thinkers were overshadowed by hopelessness and poverty. It was during this moment, the vision of educating and inspiring children from war-torn countries came alive.
We strive to educate underprivileged students with a passion for quality education and those who are willing to make sacrifices to become world leaders. We are looking for students with exceptional leadership potential wanting to effect positive change in their communities by doing admirable things. SHED will enroll students into schools and other educational programs that will strengthen them holistically and ensure leadership development. Our educational programs are designed for students in Grades 7-12.

To educate and inspire underprivileged high school students with exceptional leadership potential from destitute war-torn countries; providing educational opportunities and fundamental support that will ensure academic success, while developing effective leaders and strengthening aptitude for self help.
